Usage Alerts: Are sent to you in real time although delays may occur from time to time. You should not rely solely on the alert service to monitor your usage. To get up to speed with your balance, free SMS the keyword BAL to 9999 or download the My Optus app.
Recharge vouchers and recharge cards: Must be redeemed by the end date specified on the voucher or card. Expired, lost or stolen vouchers will not be replaced or refunded.
OPTUS FLEX PLUS
General: Physical SIM or eSIM required.
Minimum Total Cost: Min cost is the recharge amount on the chosen plan (plus $2 for a physical SIM if applicable).
eSIM: eSIM compatible device required. Service will automatically activate when eSIM order is placed. You’ll need to download your eSIM profile via My Opus app to use your service.
SIM swaps and plan changes: SIM swaps not available for value SIMs. No inclusions or credit will be transferred during rate plan change to Optus Flex Plus. Once on Optus Flex Plus, customers will not be able to rate plan change to another plan.
Activation bonus data: Additional data will be provided on first three recharges to new services only (for value SIMs, this includes the initial recharge applied at activation). Reverts to standard data inclusion after 3rd recharge. Excludes rate plan changes and SIM swaps. To be eligible, first three recharges must be within 90 days or activation for plan options of 28 days or less or within 3 years of activation for plan options with long expiry periods (186 and 365 days).
Recharge expiry: Your recharge will expire in the time frames specified, or on your next recharge (whichever is earlier). If you recharge before expiry, any unused days or inclusions not eligible for rollover will be forfeited.
Coverage: All Optus Flex Plus plans include access to the Optus 4G and 5G Networks (subject to availability and speed caps on selected plans). 5G available in selected areas (excluding NT) with a compatible device. Coverage will otherwise vary depending on your device and location. Check coverage at optus.com.au/coverage.
Speed caps: Optus Flex Plus $13, $180 and $350 plans are speed capped, which means your network speed is capped to a maximum potential speed of 250Mbps. The actual network speed you experience may be slower and will vary depending on various factors including your device, location, available bandwidth and source of download. To access uncapped speeds for a day, you can purchase the Unlimited Data Day Add On.
AutoRecharge: If you have AutoRecharge turned on, we will automatically deduct the recharge amount from your saved payment method on the day of recharge expiry (any time from 5.30am on that day) or when your data balance is reduced to 200MB (whichever is earlier). If recharging upon expiry, we will deduct payment on the day of expiry any time from (5.30am, Sydney time) and your service will automatically recharge between 11pm and 11.30pm (Sydney time) on the same day. If you cancel AutoRecharge after you have been charged, but before midnight on the day of recharge expiry, we will refund you within 2-10 business days depending on your payment method. For AutoRecharge due to low balance, your inclusions and expiry will reset and any unused days or inclusions not eligible for rollover will be forfeited. You can change, set up and turn off your AutoRecharge through My Optus app, or by phone (call 555) or SMS (Text ‘Menu’ to 9999) if you have a saved payment method.
$35 Optus Flex Plus (AutoRecharge only): Only available for new services activated using a $35 value SIM or eSIM on or after 28 April 2025 (rate plan changes and SIM swaps are excluded). From 5 June 2025, AutoRecharge setup with a credit/debit card is required to activate (prior to this date AutoRecharge setup will be optional). AutoRecharge must be maintained to stay on this plan (manual recharges are not available). If you turn off AutoRecharge or your AutoRecharge payment fails, you’ll lose access to this plan when your current recharge expires and to keep recharging you’ll need to choose from other available Optus Flex Plus plans ($13, $39, $49, $59, $180, $350).
International Talk: Minutes for voice calls from Australia to standard international numbers in Zone 1 and Zone 2 countries are included on all recharges valued at $35 or more. Eligible Zone 1 and Zone 2 countries are subject to change, see current list at optus.com.au/prepaid/plans/international-call-rates. Minutes are counted in per minute increments. Any usage beyond included value requires purchase of an add-on. Excludes non-standard international calls (eg premium, special, satellite, overseas toll-free numbers and video calls).
International SMS: Each recharge includes 50 standard SMS (160 characters per SMS) from Australia to any international country. Excludes non-standard SMS and MMS. Available to existing customers from first recharge following 10 October 2024.
Add Ons: You must be within an active recharge period to purchase Add Ons. Add Ons are used before the same inclusion type included with your standard recharge (e.g. a $10/5GB MyData Add On will be used before any remaining data in your standard recharge inclusions). If you recharge with the same Add On before your current Add On expires, your inclusions will roll over (excludes Unlimited Data Day, Optus Sport and $5 International Talk). Further T&Cs apply to each specific Add On see optus.com.au/prepaid/plans/add-ons for details.
Exclusions: Your standard recharge does not include non-standard national or internationals calls (such as premium/special/satellite/overseas toll-free numbers and video calls), non-standard national SMS/MMS, non-standard international SMS, international MMS and roaming but these may be accessed by purchasing an Add On.
Data Rollover: Roll over unused included MyData up to a maximum of 200GB when you maintain an active AutoRecharge or when you recharge before expiry. Any applicable Activation Bonus Data or AutoRecharge Bonus Data is eligible for rollover but other bonus data is excluded unless expressly stated otherwise. Any data accumulated over 200GB will be forfeited. MyData Rollover will be used after you have used up all data included with your standard recharge or in any MyData Add On, or provided as a bonus in connection with a promotion.

OFFERS
SIM on sale: These terms apply when a SIM is offered at a discounted price. Available online at optus.com.au and in Optus retail stores unless otherwise specified. New services only. SIM includes specific recharge value which can be activated on to current in-market plans of the same value. Inclusions and expiry will depend on available or selected plan (if more than one plan is available). For physical SIMs, discount applies to SIM purchase only. For eSIMs, you must have My Optus app version 10.20 or later to be eligible for the discount for your first recharge only. Ongoing recharges revert to standard price or as otherwise advertised. Offer available until the date specified in the promotion and may be withdrawn at any time.
Unlimited Data Weekend: Fair Go Policy applies. Available until withdrawn to new and existing services on Optus Flex Plus $39, $49 and $59 plans (excludes Traveller plans). Current recharge must have been processed via an eligible AutoRecharge before 11.59pm on Friday to be eligible for the weekend or an eligible AutoRecharge must be turned on at time of activation. Also available from 2nd recharge and until withdrawn on the $35 AutoRecharge only plan. Eligible customers can access unlimited data each weekend between 12.01am Saturday and 11.59pm Sunday (local time). If an eligible AutoRecharge is processed or expires during the weekend, access will not be updated until the following weekend day (eg if processed on Saturday, unlimited data will be provided from 12.01am Sunday). Not available for expired or manual recharges. For use when SIM is in a mobile phone device or tablet that is compatible with our network, access will not be available if your SIM is in a modem or any other device.
AutoRecharge Bonus Data: From 28 April 2025, customers on select Optus Flex Plus plans will receive bonus data for each eligible recharge made via AutoRecharge. Also available if AutoRecharge turned on at time of activation. Bonus data amount will vary depending on recharge amount: 5GB on $13 plan; 5GB on $35 AutoRecharge only plan (from 2nd recharge only); 20GB on $180; 40GB on $350 plan. Excludes Flex Plus Casual. If AutoRecharge turned on or off during an active recharge, current data balance will not be impacted until your next eligible AutoRecharge. Excludes manual recharges, even if AutoRecharge turned on.
