Optus Daily Roaming: Optus Daily Roaming add-on for $5 is automatically activated and is available on Consumer Choice Plus and Business Choice Plus mobile plans, Qantas plans and MBB plans in Zone 1 destinations. For Choice Plus, Business Choice Plus, Qantas plans with no Roaming inclusion, Qantas plans with expired roaming inclusion within 30 days and MBB data plans you will be automatically charged via card upon first usage in an eligible destination. If your payment fails you will need to check your payment details are correct, and all roaming usage will be restricted. Usage alerts are sent at 50%/85%/100% of your data inclusions. Optus Daily Roaming includes 5GB data as well as unlimited standard national talk and text in Zone 1 destinations or to Australia (standard national talk is not available with MBB plans). Optus daily roaming expires once the 5GB of data is used or once the add-on 24 hour duration has ended (whichever is first). If you continue to roam in eligible destinations, we’ll automatically add another 5GB to your service, and you will be charged $5 for the further add-on. Unused data expires. Eligible destinations are subject to change, see current list at. http://optus.com.au/roam Fair Go Policy applies.
$10 Optus Roaming Pass: Available to selected customers and includes unlimited standard talk (with mobile plans only) & SMS, plus 1GB data to use in eligible destinations. Active for 24-hours or until 1GB data is used, whichever comes first. If you continue to roam in eligible destinations, we’ll automatically charge you another $10 for another pass and the 24-hour timer restarts. Unused data expires. Eligible destinations are subject to change, see current list at optus.com.au/roamingrates.
If Optus Roaming Pass is on, it will automatically start when you make or receive a call (with mobile plans only), send an SMS or use data (including MMS) in an eligible destination. Calls to premium numbers may not be available overseas and may incur additional charges. Calls to satellite numbers, operator assisted calls, and video calls (excluding apps which use data), calls in non-eligible destinations and calls on planes and ships won’t trigger a pass and will be charged at standard roaming rates. MMS charges (excluding data), will be charged as per your plan. Emergency calls, receiving an SMS, and calls to Optus Customer Care from an Optus mobile have no charge and will not start a pass. Optus may suspend your access to Optus Roaming Pass where Optus reasonably believes that there has been unusually high usage of the service, a breach of the Fair Go Policy, or as otherwise set out in our agreement with you. GST does not apply to roaming charges (except MMS charges). Fair Go Policy applies.
Standard Roaming (pay as you go rates): Rates and destination zones may change fairly frequently due to international exchange rates and what we are charged by overseas providers. We'll try to keep you informed of current rates (listed in $AUD) and zones on our website here. The destinations and services where international roaming is available may vary from time to time. Optus makes no guarantee regarding the quality and availability of coverage of any roaming services.
Voice & Video Call rates charged in per minute increments. If your account number starts with 1, 2, 8 or 9 roaming data is charged in per 10KB increments. MMS (excluding data) is charged as per your plan. Calls to premium numbers and operator assisted calls may not be available from overseas networks and may incur additional charges. GST does not apply to roaming charges (except MMS). Check out optus.com.au/roamingrates for roaming rates.
International Roaming Inclusions and Roaming Options: If your plan has international roaming included or as an add-on, this will be used first. If you exceed your included roaming allowance and do not have an Optus Roaming Pass active, standard data roaming charges for the destination you are in will apply. If you have an Optus Roaming Pass active and continue to roam in an eligible destination, we’ll automatically charge you another daily fee for another pass and the 24-hour timer restarts. Unused data expires. For all other destinations, standard roaming rates will apply.
My Optus App: Is currently not available on devices using the Windows operating system. You need an Optus personal or small business mobile account to use the My Optus App. It doesn't currently support small business accounts with large fleet plans.
My Account: Data roaming charges will apply if accessing from your phone when roaming.
