If your still need some assistance, follow the steps below:

To determine whether your device has been stolen, or is simply lost, try the following steps:

  1. Try calling your mobile phone number from another phone. Listen if you can hear the device ringing.

  2. If your device has a 'location feature' (e.g. Find My iPhone or Find My Device) or use it to locate your device.

  3. Check for any calls, messages of data usage since your device went missing.

We recommend blocking your device and your SIM card.

Blocking your SIM will prevent any unauthorised usage and additional charges on your account.

Blocking your device ensures your mobile phone can't be used on any Australian mobile network with another SIM card.

Note:
It may take up to 24 hours to block your mobile phone and SIM card. If you have AutoRecharge active, you'll need to cancel it manually. Check out how to do that here.

Here's how to block your device and/or SIM card:

  1. Log in to My Account
  2. Select your service
  3. Select Settings
Click the Settings tab in My Account

  4. Select Show all settings
Click Show all settings in My Account

  5. Select Lost or stolen phone (block/unblock)
Click to block your lost or stolen device in My Account

  6. Select the appropriate option:
Choose to block your phone or SIM in My Account
    • Block my phone and SIM: this will block your phone handset and the SIM (Recommended)
    • Block my phone only: this will only block your phone handset

  7. Select Save

We recommend contacting your local police station to file a police report. The police will need your IMEI number.

Note: filing a police report is required for insurance claims.

To find the IMEI number, contact us.

Immediately change your usernames and passwords if you have mobile banking, social media, email; and/or utility applications on your device.

If your mobile device features a 'remote wipe function', consider using this to protect your personal data.

If you've got Device Protect Insurance or Yes Cover Insurance, you can make a claim for your lost or stolen handset.

Before making a claim, you must have filed a police report and blocked the IMEI number (see step '3. Contact the police' for instructions)

Read more about making an insurance claim here.
