Changes to Plans (month to month): We may make changes to your month-to-month mobile plan, including to the price or inclusions. This could include moving you to a new plan, which may cost more. We’ll give at least 30 days’ notice of any increase to plan access fees, any data inclusion decreases or any plan moves. If you don’t like the change, you can choose a new plan (once per payment cycle) or cancel.
Optus Choice Plus/Business Choice Plus Plans (month-to-month): You can change to another eligible plan once per payment cycle or cancel at any time. If you change your plan, any related device payment plan will remain in place and the payments will remain the same. You may lose existing add-ons if you change to a plan that is not eligible for these and you will not receive a pro rata refund. If your plan is cancelled, there are no cancellation fees, but you will not receive a pro rata refund for the reminder of the payment cycle, unless otherwise provided in our standard agreement and subject to your consumer law rights. Any related device payment plan will be cancelled, and you’ll have to pay out any remaining payments owing as a one-off payment with any device credits or discounts forfeited. You are responsible for all charges incurred on your account by any linked Optus Kids Plans, including device charges. You will be automatically charged via card once per month for recurring charges and any add-ons. You must maintain your card payment details or your plan will be cancelled.
Choice Plus/Business Choice Plus Device Payment Plans (OptusPay): You can buy an eligible device on a device payment plan and pay for it over a selected term by monthly instalments (also referred to as OptusPay). You will need to remain on an eligible Optus Plan for the term of your device payment plan. If you cancel your eligible plan or move to an ineligible plan, your related device payment plan will also be cancelled. If your device payment plan is cancelled, you’ll need to pay out any remaining device payments in full. Any applicable device credits or discounts will be forfeited. If you have a related Optus Kids Plan and the primary service is cancelled (by you or Optus) then all device payment plans related to the services will be cancelled and you will need to pay out the full remaining cost of all of the devices with any applicable device credits or discounts forfeited. This is subject to your consumer law rights. Limit of one device payment plan per eligible device and per Optus plan. You will be automatically charged via card once per month for device payments. You must maintain your card payment details or your device payment plan will be cancelled.
$79 Business Choice Plus Promo Plan / $79 Business Choice Promo Plan: Offer available until withdrawn to new and existing Consumer and Business customers (excludes Optus Business Fund & Fleet) signing up to a $79 Business Choice Plus Promo Plan / $79 Business Choice Promo Plan. Plan fee is $69/month for the first 12 months and then increases from month 13 to $79/mth or as otherwise notified by Optus. Offer forfeited if you cancel, move to an ineligible plan, or recontract your plan (including by adding or removing a device payment plan) after the offer end date. Limited to 6 services per account. Not available with other SIM plan offers, unless specified.
Upgrade and Protect Promo Plan: Offer ends 6 July 2025. Available to new and recontracting Consumer and Business customers signing up to a $79 Optus Plus Promo Plan/Business Choice Promo Plan and purchasing a device on a device payment plan (excludes outright device purchases). Customers will receive an Optus Upgrade and Protect subscription for $0/mth for the duration of their device payment plan, provided they remain on an eligible SIM plan. Available to new and existing Consumer and Business customers signing up to an $79 Optus Plus Promo Plan/$79 Business Promo Plan. Customer must have an active SubHub account with paid subscription costs greater than $0/mth by 30 September 2025 to receive 12 months SubHub credit up to $10/mth maximum, depending on total of customers’ paid subscription costs (any difference between the total costs and $10 is forfeited). Credit will commence with first charge of paid subscription prior to 30 September 2025, and continue for 12 consecutive billing periods. Credit forfeited if there are no SubHub paid subscriptions in a particular month during the 12-month period from commencement. SubHub credit on the Large Optus Choice Plus/Business Choice Plus plan: Available until withdrawn to new and existing Consumer and Business customers signing up to a Large Optus Choice Plus/Business Choice Plus plan. Customer must have an active SubHub account with paid subscription costs greater than $0/mth to receive ongoing SubHub credit up to $20/mth maximum, depending on total of customer’s paid subscription costs (any difference between the total costs and $20 is forfeited). Credit will commence with first charge and continue each month. Credit forfeited if there are no paid subscriptions via SubHub in a particular month. Offer forfeited if you cancel, move to an ineligible plan, or recontract your plan (including by adding or removing a device payment plan). Limited to 1 SubHub credit per eligible plan.
Standard International Calls and Text plan inclusion: Medium or Large Optus Choice Plus/Business Choice Plus plan inclusions for standard international calls and text can be used to the following selected destinations: Brazil, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Mainland China, Columbia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, USA and Vietnam. Destinations are subject to change. Calls and texts to other destinations are not included.
International Talk and Text add-ons: Available on selected mobile plans to select destinations. You may automatically be charged via card on activation of the add-on, if no payment is made you will still have access to the add-on and the amount will be added to your next monthly invoice. Usage alerts are sent at 50%/85%/100% of your talk and text inclusions. Add-on expires once inclusions are used or at end of payment cycle (whichever is first). Add-on can only be used in Australia.
Optus Daily Roaming: Optus Daily Roaming add-on is automatically activated and is available on Choice Plus/Business Choice Plus mobile plans, Qantas plans and MBB plans in select Zone 1 destinations. You will be automatically charged via card upon first usage in an eligible destination. If your payment fails you will need to check your payment details are correct, and all roaming usage will be restricted. Usage alerts are sent at 50%/85%/100% of your data inclusions. Add-on includes unlimited standard national talk and text in a Zone 1 destination or to Australia (standard national talk is not available with MBB plans) and 5GB data. Add-on expires once inclusions are used or once the add-on 24 hour duration has ended (whichever is first). If you continue to roam in eligible destinations, we’ll automatically add a further add-on to your service, and you will be charged for the further add-on. Unused data expires. Eligible destinations are subject to change, see current list at http://optus.com.au/roam. Fair Go Policy applies.
No Excess Data Charges: If shared data allowance is exceeded, all shared data services on your account will be slowed to a maximum speed of 1.5Mbps (suitable for general internet browsing and music streaming, however some activities such as video streaming may see increased buffering and loading times). Usage while slowed is unmetered. Applies to data usage in Australia only.
Data Add-ons: Available on selected mobile plans. Each add-on can be added once per 24 hours, per service. You may automatically be charged via card on activation of the add-on, if no payment is made you will still have access to the add-on and the amount will be added to your next monthly invoice. The inclusion of your Data Add-on is added to your shared data allowance on your account. Data is counted in KB increments and includes uploads and downloads. Usage alerts are sent at 50%/85%/100% of your shared data. Add-on expires if data used or at end of payment cycle (whichever is first). Data can only be used in Australia.
Unlimited Data Day: Available to approved consumers on selected mobile plans. For use on mobile phone devices in Australia only. Available for 24 hours from activation for eligible service only, no data sharing. Fair Go policy applies. Not for commercial use. Limit 1 Add-on per service at a time. You may automatically be charged via card on activation of the add-on if no payment is made you will still have access to the add-on and the amount will be added to your next monthly invoice.
Optus Upgrade and Protect: available with purchase of an eligible device using OptusPay on a new eligible plan. Monthly recurring subscription fee (currently $15 per month) charged to your nominated automatic payment method. Upgrade redemptions can be made during the device payment plan term by returning device as directed by Optus, paying applicable fees (if any) and purchasing a new device using OptusPay on a new eligible plan. Redemptions can’t be completed in first 30 days of your Optus Upgrade and Protect subscription and must be completed in-store. Cancel at any time. Excludes lost devices. Usage alerts: Usage alerts are typically real-time but delays of up to 48 hours may be experienced. You will receive alerts in Australia and while roaming overseas via SMS.
