SMS and MMS

Our Optus mobile services ensure that SMS and MMS within Australia to Australian numbers are unlimited and included in our enterprise plans. This means your team can send text messages and multimedia messages without worrying about additional costs or limitations.

Optus International Direct Dial (IDD)

Optus IDD provides seamless and reliable international communication, so your business can maintain strong connections with clients, partners, and employees worldwide.

WiFi Calling

Optus WiFi Calling on compatible devices automatically detects when mobile signal strength is weak or unavailable and seamlessly switches voice calls, SMS, and MMS to an available WiFi network. This ensures that calls remain clear and uninterrupted, regardless of your employee’s location.

Features: 

  • WiFi and 4G/5G integration: Optus WiFi Calling enables seamless transition between WiFi and 4G/5G networks, ensuring uninterrupted coverage even while on the move, such as walking into an elevator.

Optus VoLTE (Voice Over LTE)

Optus VoLTE uses our extensive 4G LTE and 5G network to route voice calls, providing a more reliable and higher-quality calling experience. As 3G networks phase out, VoLTE ensures that all voice calls are carried over 4G and 5G, integrating seamlessly with existing enterprise IT infrastructure.

VoiceMail

Optus provides three distinct VoiceMail options to cater to different business needs. These include Standard VoiceMail, Missed Call Service, and Visual Voicemail.

Standard VoiceMail   

  • Included and unlimited: This standard Optus service is included in most plans at no extra cost. 

  • VoiceMail diversion: Unanswered calls divert to VoiceMail answering service. 

  • Personalisation: a personal greeting can be recorded and used in different circumstances (e.g. phone is switched off, as opposed to call rings out unanswered 

  • Message retrieval: Dial in to 321 to retrieve messages for free.
     
  • Message capacity: Storage of up to 40 VoiceMails, each up to three minutes long. 

  • Location flexibility: you can check your VoiceMail messages from any phone by dialing in with a PIN that you’ll set up, even when your mobile is not with you.

Missed Call Service

  • Ideal for security-sensitive roles: Perfect for roles where VoiceMail identification of who is being called poses a security risk. 

  • Standard greeting: no personalised greeting is available, but an automated greeting confirms the number called to the caller. 

  • Messages saved to your phone: Callers can leave messages of any length. You can keep or delete these messages anytime from your message history and settings.  

  • Audio delivery: Messages are delivered as audio files via MMS, preserving the tone and context.

Visual Voicemail (iPhone only)

  • Enhanced user experience: Read and manage VoiceMails directly from the iPhone interface. 

  • Cost: Cost-effective monthly service  with no contractual commitment, plus potential discounts for high-usage plans. 

  • Convenience: Reply to VoiceMails via email, SMS, or call in any order you choose. 

  • Works with standard VoiceMail: Callers still get all the features of Standard VoiceMail when Visual Voicemail is enabled.
