The partner’s responsibilities for the customer relationship, pricing, billing and support depend on the commercial model; Optus Wholesale provides the agreed wholesale service, ordering, provisioning and assurance capabilities.

To become a wholesale NBN provider, you generally partner with a carrier or wholesale provider that can supply the required access, systems and operations. Optus Wholesale can scope service qualification, ordering, assurance, integration and commercial requirements for an eligible partner offer before launch.

A wholesale provider supplies wholesale connectivity and associated operational capabilities, while a reseller generally rebrands and resells another provider’s service. The responsibilities of each party depend on the product, commercial model and contract. Wholesale NBN business broadband can suit partners that want to add connectivity to an existing proposition, including RSPs, aggregators, managed service providers (MSPs), service integrators, energy and utility retailers, and digital or white-label brands. Depending on the offer and location, wholesale NBN business broadband may be supplied over nbn access technologies such as FTTP, FTTB, FTTC, FTTN, HFC and Fixed Wireless. Availability and speed tiers depend on the service address, nbn access technology, service qualification, product eligibility and network conditions; not all tiers are available on all access types. Network performance can vary depending on factors such as the wi-fi router, wi-fi conditions, internal cabling, in-premises setup and device capability. Eligible partners may be able to sell wholesale NBN business broadband under their own brand, including through white-label, aggregator or service-integrator models. The partner’s rights and responsibilities for branding, customer ownership, pricing, billing and support depend on the agreed commercial model. Optus Wholesale provides provisioning, assurance and support for eligible wholesale NBN business broadband offers, with eSLA options where applicable. The service levels, restoration commitments, exclusions and support processes that apply must be confirmed in the relevant product, commercial and support documentation before the partner markets them.

Eligible wholesale NBN business broadband services may support static IP and bring-your-own (BYO) wi-fi router arrangements. Compatibility, configuration, authentication and support requirements must be confirmed for the relevant service before ordering. Wholesale NBN business broadband is priced under a wholesale partnership agreement rather than published retail rates.
