Our Approach

Optus is always looking to improve the way we work with our suppliers. It is important that we engage with suppliers who are aligned with our values. Procurement at Optus manages a large and diverse supply base, with engagement and ongoing supplier management governed by robust processes to ensure we deliver organisational value.

Optus Supplier Code of Conduct

As a member of the Singtel Group, Optus collaborates with transparent, ethical, environmentally and socially responsible suppliers. Although suppliers are independent entities, their conduct can reflect on us. We expect suppliers to meet the minimum standards in the Singtel Supplier Code of Conduct (SCC).

Optus Data Privacy Collection

Personal information you provide may be collected by Optus and/or the Singtel Group for procurement-related communications. This includes tenders or sourcing requests, issuing purchase orders (POs) or goods receipts (GRNs), payment of invoices, and AcuBuy account registration.

Optus and the Singtel Group may share personal information with related bodies corporate and service providers for these purposes, some of whom may be located outside Australia. For details about Optus privacy practices - including sharing, access, correction and complaints - refer to our Privacy Policy.

Optus Standard Purchase Order Terms

Access the standard terms that apply to POs issued by Optus - refer to our Purchase Order T&Cs.

Ethical and Sustainable Supply Chain

We aim to make a lasting positive impact, leveraging our resources and partnerships. Our sustainability strategy seeks to create shared value and mitigate risks to the company, stakeholders and the environment.

Environment - Climate change

We have emission reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and collaborate with suppliers to manage supply chain emissions in alignment with Net Zero SBTi guidelines.

  • How to set a science-based target

Our Supplier Engagement Program continues to evolve; suppliers may be invited to participate.

Environment - Circular economy

Optus is a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO). We encourage suppliers to provide goods with packaging aligned to the Sustainable Packaging Guidelines.

  • APCO Sustainable Packaging Guidelines

We participate in product stewardship schemes (e.g., MobileMuster) and encourage suppliers to provide clear pathways to reuse, recycle or compost supplied goods.

Work Health & Safety (WHS)

The health and safety of our people and contractors is a top priority. Contractor work ranges from low to high WHS risk, including high-risk construction. We are committed to a safe, healthy work environment and operate a Contractor Management System focused on improving WHS processes and controls - refer to Safety @ Optus for Suppliers.

No. There are no fees for Optus suppliers to register with Ivalua to use the AcuBuy platform.

I didn’t receive my AcuBuy registration email - where is it?
