Sanctioned and organised by the United Nations, IDPwD is to celebrate and increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability. In recognition and appreciation of the achievements and contributions of our people with disabilities, every year at Optus we host our own IDPwD celebrations.
The Optus Disability Network (ODN) is an employee-led community dedicated to fostering inclusivity and empowerment within Optus and beyond. Through advocacy, awareness campaigns, partnerships, and strategic initiatives, the ODN aims to create a workplace where every voice is heard and valued, particularly those living with disabilities or caring for someone with a disability.
We’re proud to partner with What Ability - a disability support service that utilises athletes as support workers for people with disabilities. Our goal is to put happiness first. We want to inspire optimism and positivity without boundaries, hoping to unleash the full potential of Australians living with disabilities.
What Ability provides disability support that puts fun first for participants. This includes activities that get the body moving, drive healthy lifestyles, and bring a smile to participants’ faces. It also shows the wider community what’s possible. Together we’ll help empower people living with disability, and the wider community, to create a more connected and inclusive Australia.
We are dedicated to supporting customers with disability and those requiring accessibility assistance. Find out more
