Password reset: Optus Loop with RingCentral Admin Portal

In this article, we'll discuss how to change your password. To change your password on Optus Loop with the RingCentral platform, you must have permission to change your sign-in information. If you don't have permission, request a password change from your Optus Loop with RingCentral admin, this is the person within your business who set up the account or looks after your phone system.

Note. If you use Single Sign-On (SSO) to sign in, you'll have to go to your IT admin to change your password.

Forgot your password? On any Optus Loop with RingCentral sign-in pages, click the Forgot Password? link.

  1. Go to Admin Portal and sign in. If you're an admin, click Admin Portal > My Extension in the top right
  2. Click Settings in the top menu
  3. Go to User Details > Security
  4. Click Change Password
  5. Click Yes when prompted
  6. Enter your current password
  7. Enter your new password
  8. Click Save

Once you change your password, you'll be signed out and redirected to the sign-in page. Using your new password, you can now sign in to the Admin Portal or any of your RingCentral apps.

To reset your password, the following are required:

  • At least one lowercase letter (Latin characters)
  • At least one number (0-9)
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one special character (e.g. !, @, $, #)
  • No sequential characters (e.g. "1234", "7890", "Abcd" )
  • No repeating sequences (e.g. "222", "Aaa", "###")
  • No account information (e.g. first/last name, phone number)
  • Length of 8-32 characters
  • Can't use last 5 passwords

Bad actors deploy a variety of password-cracking techniques. Stronger passwords make it harder for them to gain access, which better protects your account and data from unauthorised access.
