The factory-set WiFi username (SSID) and password will be labelled on the underside of most modems / routers.

You can view and edit the default WiFi username (SSID) / password by logging into your modem / router using the details below.

Optus Ultra WiFi (Gen 2) modem

1. Open your web browser and in the address bar type 192.168.0.1
2. Enter the password located on the base of the modem in the "password" field
3. On the Home page, select My WiFi
4. Locate the "WiFi Name" field and enter a new SSID name that is unique to you
5. Locate the "WiFi Password" field and enter a suitable password
6. Click on Apply and your new SSID Name and password will take effect
   
   

Netgear DGN220

1. Your modem must be switched on and connected to your computer (wired or wirelessly)
2. Open your Internet browser and in the address bar type http://10.1.1.1
3. To check your Wi-Fi password, SSID, etc. - click on the Wireless or WiFi setup menus

Netgear DG834

1. Your modem must be switched on and connected to your computer (wired or wirelessly)
2. Open your Internet browser and in the address bar type http://10.1.1.1
3. Enter the default username (if required): admin
4. Enter the default password (if required): password
5. To check your Wi-Fi password, SSID, etc. - click on the Wireless or WiFi setup menus

Sagem F@st 1201

1. Your modem must be switched on and connected to your computer (wired or wirelessly)
2. Open your Internet browser and in the address bar type http://10.1.1.1
3. To check your Wi-Fi password, SSID, etc. - click on the Wireless or WiFi setup menus

1. Your modem must be switched on and connected to your computer (wired or wirelessly)
2. Open your Internet browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.0.1

If you've previously changed the username and / or password and forgotten it, you'll need to perform a factory reset of your modem / router and then use the default password / username above to gain access.

Before you reset your modem / router, note down your OptusNet primary username and password. 

A factory reset can wipe any personalised modem settings that you've changed previously, including any saved WiFi network configuration, names and passwords etc.

Factory resetting your modem / router

A factory reset usually involves holding a recessed reset button down for a few seconds, usually located on the rear or underside of your modem / router.
