Switch your mobile phone service between Prepaid & Postpaid

In this article we’ll show you how to change between a Prepaid and Postpaid Mobile Phone service.

It’s simple to change from Prepaid to Postpaid, just purchase one of our latest Mobile Phone offers online or in-store.

Don’t forget, when purchasing your plan online you have to select I’m with Optus > Upgrade my Prepaid to a plan.

If you’re still in contract, moving to Prepaid may cause charges associated with leaving your contract early as outlined in your Critical Information Summary.

Still want to change from Postpaid to Prepaid? Please contact us and we’ll help you out.

Once you’ve made the switch, you'll receive a final bill which may include a handset payout amount and any service charges which may have occurred.
