Activate Number Share on a Samsung Galaxy watch

This page provides steps to activate Number Share for a Samsung Galaxy watch (Cellular).

Number Share lets you share one mobile phone number on the Optus network between your compatible smart watch and your mobile phone.

This means that you can make / receive calls and use data on your smart watch even if you don't take your mobile phone out with you.

Check your device is compatible

Activate Number Share

Important: You'll need your My Account login handy before activating Number Share. For help, see Forgotten My Account & My Optus app login or password.

To check which Samsung Galaxy devices are compatible, see above.

Follow these steps to activate a Number Share profile via your compatible Mobile phone.

Select Galaxy Wearable app on the compatible Mobile phone and connect the Galaxy Watch to the compatible Mobile phone via Cellular connection by tapping Watch Settings → Set Up Mobile plan
The Optus Mobile plan will appear in the Galaxy Wearable app. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Mobile connection
Confirm that you're the account holder of the Mobile phone number as shown on the welcome screen, before tapping Agree and Continue
Enter your My Account username (email address) and password and tap Next
The Terms & Conditions screen will appear, tick the box to agree before tapping Agree and Continue
If successful, a screen will appear advising that your Number Share is activating
Tap Close, once activation is complete the Optus Mobile plan will appear in the Galaxy Wearable app
Then select, use plan
An SMS will be sent once Number Share is active (this may take up to 4 hours)
