Switch your Home / Office Phone number to Optus

To transfer your existing Home or Office Phone number to Optus, select one of our Home Phone or Office Phone plans and we’ll ask you if you want to transfer a number when you apply.

Transfers may take up to 10 business days, or longer if the premises is being connected for the first time. We’ll advise the date and other details once you apply.

To ensure the smooth transfer of your number:

• Make sure the phone number is active and you are the registered account holder
• Before your connection date, contact your current provider to cancel any complex features. Complex features include FaxStream Duet, Multi-Number, ISDN and Line Hunt
• Forward your calls to a different number on or before your connection date, so you can still receive calls while we complete the transfer

Your service will be disconnected from your current provider once the transfer is complete. Check with your current provider about early termination fees, as Optus is not liable for any fees incurred when you transfer your service to us.
